Ramon Abbas aka Hushpuppi, a self-confessed internet fraudster, is scheduled to be sentenced in October of this year. According to the US Attorney's Office for the Central District of California.
Hushpuppi was arrested in Dubai in July 2020 for a multi-million dollar fraud he and members of his syndicate committed. This Monday, he pleaded guilty to a variety of charges, including internet fraud and money laundering.
Hushpuppi, his lawyer, Loius Shapiro, and Acting United States Attorney Tracy Wilkison, among others, signed his plea bargain document, which was made public this week.
