After a robber allegedly took a corp member's cellphone, some National Youth Service Scheme (NYSC) corps members recently protested in the state's Ikeja region.
The demonstration apparently lasted more than an hour.
According to sources, the victim went to the Lagos office of the National Union of Road Transport Workers, NURTW, and his phone was stolen.
The thief was apprehended, but rather than being forced to return the phone, NURTW administrators allegedly shielded him because he was a member of the organization's staff.
The state's service corps members then rushed to the streets and stopped Ikeja Road, demanding that the culprit be brought to justice and handed over to the police.

The phone was later retrieved as the angry corp members descended on the perpetrator before handing him over to the police.
