Jack Grealish Joins Man City in £100m Deal To Become The Most Expensive Transfer In The History Of English Football

Manchester City has paid £100 million to Aston Villa for Jack Grealish, the most expensive transfer in English football history, surpassing their direct rivals' transaction for Paul Pogba in 2016.
After turning down a new contract offer at Villa Park, the England international has signed a six-year deal with the club.
Grealish, 25, will make his Wembley debut in the Community Shield against Leicester City, having been granted the number 10 shirt left vacant by Sergio Aguero.
Grealish has been a long-time admirer of Pep Guardiola's, with the player making 213 appearances for Villa over the course of eight seasons, scoring 32 goals.
“I am really thrilled to have joined Manchester City,” Jack Grealish said.
“City are the best team in the country with a manager considered to be the best in the world – it’s a dream come true to be part of this club.
“They have continuously won significant awards over the last ten seasons. Pep Guardiola's arrival has catapulted them to the next level, with this squad playing some of the most thrilling football in Europe.
“To play for Pep and learn from him will be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for any top footballer.
“The facilities are incredible, and I can't wait to get started, meet everyone, and play.”
