Mr. Ifeoluwa Oluwo, a businessman, told a Lagos High Court sitting at Tafawa Balewa Square, TBS, on Thursday how Chidinma Ojukwu, the murder suspect in the case of Super TV Chief Executive Officer, Usifo Ataga, sold him the deceased's laptop.
He said that he purchased the laptop for N495,000 from the first defendant on June 18, two days after Ataga's body was discovered at the short service apartment in Lekki.
The witness told the court that he saw her (defendant) on social media about a murder case after he bought the laptop.
He claimed that as soon as he realized it was the customer from whom he had purchased the laptop, he made sure that all of her paperwork were maintained on hand.
Oluwo stated this in the current trial of Chidinma Ojukwua, a University of Lagos 300-level Mass Communication student, and two others charged with Ataga's murder.
Ojukwu is on trial with her sister, Chioma Egbuchu, and another man named Adedapo Quadri.
He sells phones, computers, and accessories at Computer Village in Ikeja, Lagos, and has been in the industry for five years, according to the witness.
Mr. Yusuf Sule, the Lagos State prosecuting attorney, led Oluwo in testimony in chief as the third prosecution witness (PW3).
In June Chidinma had requested the short service apartment where Ataga's body was discovered on June 13, and had left the flat on June 15, before Ataga's body was discovered on June 16.
The witness who testified before Justice Yetunde Adesanya identified the first defendant (Chidinma) as a client who purchased a phone on April 30 and also sold her laptop at the same office on June 18.
He told the judge that they acquire and sell both brand new and gently used phones.
