Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, has revealed how a text message from one of his spiritual daughters helped him overcome his "deep sorrow" following the death of his 42-year-old son, Dare, in 2021.
During the church's April 2022 Holy Ghost Service, the Man of God, Pastor E.A Adeboye, disclosed this on Friday, April 1, 2022 at the worldwide headquarters of the church along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
Dare died in his sleep on May 4, 2021 in Eket, Akwa Ibom State, where he pastored a church and lived with his family.
On Friday night, the elder Adeboye spoke on the topic of 'Signs and Wonders,' saying that children are signs that God is a Miracle Worker, a Covenant-Keeper, a Burden-Bearer, and the Defender of the Defenseless.
God, he claims, is a Carrier who carries burdens, sorrow and problems provided one has the disposition of a child.
He said, “When I lost my son last year (2021), then I was deeply in sorrow, I got a text (message) from one of my (spiritual) daughters that suddenly turned the tide. What she wrote was simply this: Daddy, let God carry you.”
