According to reports, youths assaulted and battered teachers and staff at Community Secondary School, Adagwa, in Rivers State's Etche Local Government Area, injuring many people.
The situation reportedly started when a teacher "disciplined" two SS3 pupils for allegedly playing loud music (MP3) during class.
The teachers were apparently attacked during the process, according to Tbe Sun, and several young people then allegedly broke into the school, causing mayhem and violence.
It was also discovered that routes leading out of the school were blocked, and school employees were allegedly battered and had to escape into surrounding bushes for protection.
There have been reports of injuries to a number of employees, and there are still worries regarding the safety and whereabouts of others.
David C. Oguzie, a Facebook user, posted pictures and a video of a pupil he said was his sister.
He stated, "Just look at what a recently transferred English teacher did to my younger sister because she didn't even know; but (he) even let people who committed the offense go free.
"This occurred at Community Secondary School Odagwa, Etche L.G.A. The government has to take action because, well, what if something were to happen to her?
