In her emotional response to the passing of her friend and coworker Alex Ekubo, Nollywood actress Bimbo Ademoye revealed that she is still finding it difficult to process the devastating news.
The actress stated on her Instagram site that even though the news of his passing had been out for 72 hours, she still found it hard to believe. Bimbo claims that it still feels like a practical joke or a nightmare from which she wants to awaken.
The actress started crying as she recalled Alex's light-hearted personality and the amusing things he frequently said to her while they were together.
She wrote, recalling one of his well-known jokes:
“Bimbo, do you want me to turn you into a yam? Go and ask what ikuku means, I can just blink at you now, and you’d turn to yam.”
Bimbo stated that she would never forget such remarks and that she will miss his humorous demeanour and presence.
She said in her tribute that many people who adored Alex, also known as "Ikuku," will undoubtedly miss him.
She penned:
“72 hours later, and it’s still not a prank, it’s still not a bad dream. THE BREEZE!
“I’d miss those words. Rest well, Ikuku. You’d surely, most definitely, unarguably be missed!”
Fans and coworkers responded to the heartfelt post, many of them joining the actress in lamenting the deceased actor while offering consoling words and prayers.
