The BBNaija reality show, according to a Nigerian Evangelist, kills a Christian's spirit and affects his or her prayer life.
Evangelist Gospel Agochukwu, General Overseer of Shekina Area Gospel Ministry and CEO of Shikan TV, shared a video on his official Facebook page in which he spoke against the BBNaija show, characterizing it as a show that attempts to truncate the tie between God and man.
The preacher talked against the extent of immorality in the house, even claiming that he had blocked the station on his TV decoder and instead watched cartoons.
He stated, "
“If you are a child of God and you are watching Big Brother Naija, you are killing your spirit.
“I'm not against people going about their business, but morals in our generation must be addressed. A few days ago, I was watching a video on the internet in which one of the characters was practically masturbating.
“And this is on live television. Some parents leave this on the television for their children to watch before going to bed. On national television, she was touching herself with her finger. And it's a show.
“Do you believe it won't affect your spirit being and spirit man? It will put an end to your prayer life. There are some things that you should not pay attention to. Someone arrived to my house and tried to change the channel but was unable to do so since it was blocked.
“I have nothing against anyone; even one girl from my village is in the show. But we must deal with morals; else, these things that are done in secret will no longer be done in secret in the next five years.”
