Baba Suwe Dead: Things You Didn’t Know About The Late Actor

Babatunde Omidina, often known as Baba Suwe, was a prominent actor who died recently.

Prior to his death, the actor had been suffering an illness to which he eventually succumbed.

His son confirmed his father's death on his Instagram page this afternoon, Monday, November 22nd, 2021.

Here are some few things you might want to know about the later Baba Suwe

He was born and raised on Lagos Island's Inabere Street, although he is from Lagos State's Ikorodu local government area in southern Nigeria.

Baba Suwe had his primary education at Jamaitul Islamial Primary School in Lagos and Children Boarding School in Osogbo before attending Adekanbi Commercial High School in Mile 12, Lagos State, but obtained his West African School Certificate from Ifeoluwa Grammar School in Osogbo, Osun State's capital.

Baba Suwe began acting in 1971, but skyrocketed to fame after appearing in Obalende's film Omolasan.

He rose to prominence after appearing in Olaiya Igwe's 1997 film Iru Esin.

He starred in and produced numerous Nigerian films, including Baba Jaiye Jaiye, a film starring Funke Akindele and Femi Adebayo.

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency charged him of cocaine trafficking in 2011, but the Lagos High Court of Law ruled that the accusation was false and defamatory.
