Nollywood Actors Mourn Baba Suwe

Nollywood actors have begun paying respect to Babatunde Omidina aka Baba Suwe, a legendary Yoruba actor who died on Monday.

Adesola Omidina, one of his sons, confirmed his death.

Yewande Adekoya, Sola Kosoko, Muka Ray, and Sunny Alli are among Baba Suwe's colleagues who have taken to social media to express their feelings to the news.

Yewande Adekoya Abiodun wrote: “Rest In peace legend.”

For Sola Kosoko- Abina, one of the daughters of veteran actor Jide Kosoko, it’s a piece of sad news.

She wrote, “Oh my God, rest in peace.”

Muka Ray, one of the sons of legendary actor, Ray Eyinwunmi, expressed shock saying, “Haa, rest in peace.”

Sunny Alli, a member of the Odunfa Caucus, who worked closely with the late Baba Suwe in his prime wrote: “Innalillahi waina illaehi rojiun …

RIP Baba suwe.”

Yomi Fabiyi, one of the proteges of late Omidina, couldn’t hide his sadness.

While his phones have remained busy, he shared candlelight and emojis of weeping on his Instagram account.

Lola Idije on her part wrote: “May your soul rest in peace BABA SUWE.”
