Nigerians are reacting on social media to a popular video of pupils from a public school singing the national anthem in their flooded school premises.
The Lagos State Government has reacted to the video.
The Lagos State Ministry of Education said in a statement released on Sunday, October 31, that the structure has been demolished and is being rebuilt, and that the footage was recorded months ago.
The statement added, "The school assembly that went viral on social media is a low-cost private school in Makoko, Lagos State."
"A church took the video a few months ago with the intention of using it to collect donations for the school. The structure has been dismantled and a new one is being constructed. On Monday, officials from Lagos State will travel there to assess the situation. Thanks for your concerns" - HC Education.
