Actor Moses Armstrong has been suspended by the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) after he was accused of raping a 16-year-old girl in Akwa Ibom.
Moses was apprehended by state police officers after a complaint was lodged against him. The guild's president, Emeka Rollas, confirmed his detention and stated the case was being handled by the state's First Lady, Martha Udom Emmanuel, through her Family Empowerment and Youth Re-Orientation Path Initiative.
According to a statement published today Saturday, June 15 and signed by its publicity secretary, Monalisa Chinda-Coker, Moses has been suspended indefinitely and is barred from functioning until the investigation into the claim is completed.
