A Nigerian lady has sparked conversations online after sharing a rather unexpected reason her relationship allegedly came to an end — she says her boyfriend broke up with her because she didn’t clean his apartment after spending the night.
The story was shared in a video posted on TikTok by a user identified as @Grow_Withsteph, where she opened up about what happened during the short relationship.
According to her, they had been talking for about two months before officially starting a relationship. Not long after, she visited his home for the first time and stayed over. She explained that she had already told him she is naturally forgetful and doesn’t always remember small tasks unless she is reminded.
“I’m the kind of person that is very forgetful. I forget things quickly and easily,” she said in the video. She added that even before he left for work that morning, she warned him about her habit. When he asked her to help close the windows in case it rained, she jokingly reminded him that she might forget unless he reminded her again.
However, things reportedly took a turn after he left for work. She said she fell back asleep and eventually left his apartment without tidying up the bed or disposing of leftover food from the previous night.
While it’s unclear if that single incident was the only reason for the breakup, she claims it played a major role in how things ended between them.
