In regards to the killing of his kid, Travis Stackhouse was sentenced to 20 years in jail with an extra eight years of extended supervision on Tuesday, June 29.
He was charged with second-degree reckless homicide, neglecting a child, child abuse, and intentionally causing harm.
According to FOX 6, Circuit Court Judge David Borowski said: "The typical person who learns about this case doesn't understand how you could beat or hit any living human being as brutally as you did in this case, much less your own child."
I still can't comprehend how you can live with yourself for a day," the judge said.
During the court case, the prosecutors feared for the welfare of Stackhouse's four other children.
Judge Borowski said that Stackhouse would have been offered a more serious charge in the event that he didn't plead guilty to the crime.
