BBNaija: I Was Told Not To Use My Real Name Ebuka As My Stage Name - Michael Reveals

Michael, a new Big Brother Naija housemate, has disclosed that he was warned not to use his stage name "Ebuka" on the show.

Michael Chukwuebuka Ngene, an Enugu state native, revealed that he had to change his name from ‘Ebuka' to ‘Michael' before being announced as the new housemate.

In a talk with his fellow roommate, Kayvee, Michael explained that he opted to delete the name since the show's host, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, has the same name and he didn't want a personality clash. He went on to say that Ebuka had established a strong brand with the name and that he couldn't utilize it.

“It was suggested that I don't use the stage name Ebuka. It seemed to me that using it would be a conflict of interest.

“You think of Ebuka when you hear BBNaija. He's turned my name into a brand, so I had to alter it at the last minute to Michael.” He stated his case.

Kayvee, for one, stated that he originally intended to go by the name "Koko," but that he had to change because there are so many "Koko" in the entertainment world.
