A horrifying video has gone viral showing a man being electrocuted while attempting to save a bird stranded on a high-tension cable.
The man in the video was armed with a long metal and climbed up an electric pole. He was electrocuted when he hit the high tension wire with the metal while trying to free the bird. The spark caused him to fall to his death.
He noticed a pigeon flying in 11KV electricity cables, urgently trying to break free. Vaghela scaled the 50-foot high electric police, carrying a stick in his hand, without waiting to think before risking everything to free the poor bird from the death-like clutch of the power wires.
“Soon, people gathered in large numbers and tried to dissuade him from his dangerous attempt. They tried to bring him down thrice, but an adamant Vaghela climbed up the fourth time but met his fate when a massive coil of the current threw him to his death,” a report published by The Times of India stated.
He got an electric shock when he touched the high-voltage electric wire. He was thrown into the air and landed 50 feet below. He passed away on the spot.
