Simi and Adekunle Gold have responded to the news that weddings held at the Ikoyi Registry are considered invalid.
A Federal High Court in Lagos declared that the federal government's handling of weddings is unconstitutional, and that all marriages conducted by federal marriage registry or their agents are unlawful and invalid.
According to the judge, the conduct of weddings and the issuance of certificates are statutorily the responsibility of local governments under the law.
Simi responded on Twitter, writing, "Ngbor @adekunleGOLD, have we been fornicating?"
Adekunle, her husband, answered, "My own na make dem do refund."
