After more than a year of his detention and trial, an Ikeja Special Offences Court has found the controversial Nollywood star Olanrewaju James, aka Baba Ijesha, guilty of sexually abusing a minor, age 14.
In a two-hour ruling on Thursday, Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo found Baba Ijesha guilty of sexual assault, attempted sexual assault, and indecent treatment of a minor.
However, Taiwo cleared him on charges one and six, which were sexual penetration assault and attempted sexual penetration assault.
He was thereby sentenced to 16 years imprisonment.
