There was a candlelight parade honoring the late singer Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, also known as Mohbad, which took place yesterday in Lekki, Lagos State.
Celebrities from Nigeria showed there to pay tribute to the late singer. Celebrities including Falz, Davido, Toke Makinwa, Ubi Frankin, and Dorcas Shola Fapson were spotted at the event.
Supporters and well-wishers turned out in large numbers for the procession as well.
The late singer's management had declared that the procession will begin at Lekki Phase 1 Gate and conclude at Muri Okunola Park on Victoria Island in Lagos.
At Muri Okunola Park, a memorial concert started promptly at 8 p.m. and is still going strong after the procession ended.
Videos captured during the event show hundreds of candles being lit by mourners in the singer's honor.
Mohbad died on the 12th of September 2023, at the age of 27. Circumstances surrounding his death have sparked controversies.
