In response to fellow Nollywood actor Alex Ekubo's loss, Funke Akindele expressed grief over their last exchanges.
Funke bemoaned the fact that she thought they would get back together soon but then realized that his passing would prevent them from ever reconnecting.
“I really tried to reach out to see you one more time, but I guess you knew best. May your kind soul rest in peace, Alex,” she wrote.
The actress, who lovingly referred to the late Alex as "Ore mi," added, "Like you fondly called me, I will always remember and cherish the good times we shared." Alex, rest in peace.
Funke claimed in another heartfelt post that she had kept on sending voicemails and texts to him despite his constant assurances that he was well.
It's really challenging. Chai, going through every message I sent. You assured me again that you were alright. I continued to send voice messages. Alex Chai. She wrote, "God knows best." "I truly wanted to see you! "We'll see shortly," you said. You abandoned me, Chai. ORE MI, REST WELL.
After a long struggle with cancer, Alex Ekubo passed away, although public disclosure about his passing has continued to spark internet emotions.
