Nollywood actress Eniola Badmus has continued to express her dissatisfaction with anonymous death threats she has received.
Whoever was threatening Badmus with death would face the full force of the law.
“The person (who is sending the death threats) is anonymous, and I have been receiving his texts for two months,” Badmus stated. The person has never made any demand of me.. The texts claim that if they see me, they will kill me, and that if I travel to Amen Estate (Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos), they will kill me there. However, this unknown person's Instagram page has been reported and taken down. I'm not terrified because God hasn't given me the spirit of fear. It's just one of those things that happens from time to time. I pray that God reveals whoever is behind for this.
“At first, I kept quiet because I didn't think he was serious. I assumed he wasn't in good mental health. I owe no one anything, therefore I'm not sure where the threat comes from. This is probably the first time I've ever received a death threat. I've filed an official report to the police, and they're already looking into it. I don't want to give away too many details about their plans. I believe whoever is behind the threat will be apprehended someday.”
Badmus went on to say that she saw the threat as one of the drawbacks of being in the spotlight.
“The threat has made my sister very worried. My family members are always concerned about anything that has to do with me. They were terrified, so we enlisted the help of a lawyer and the police. Perhaps those are some of the prices associated with being in the spotlight. If wasn't in the public eye or in the entertainment industry, I don't think anyone would threaten me in this way .” she said.
