A 19-year-old school dropout has been charged with the murder of her boyfriend over infidelity.
Jacklyn Wawira, a form two dropout, is accused of stabbing her 25-year-old boyfriend Eric Gitonga to death in her grandmother's compound, where she was staying.
A heated conversation between the lady and her boyfriend who was a fuel station employee, escalated into a fight, prompting her to reach for a kitchen knife, which she used to stab him to death.
Mwea West Sub County Police Commander Stephen Okal confirmed the incident.
"We were able to recover the murder weapon, and the lady is being held at the Kiamaciri police station," says the officer.
Okal also stated that more investigations are being conducted in order to learn more about the incident.
