Despite police orders, Yoruba Nation protestors assembled at the Ojota, where the gathering was planned to take place.
Various security forces have been deployed to the Yoruba Nation rally in Lagos state, as they arrest and teargas protesters.
In the early hours of today, men from the Nigerian Police Force, Nigerian Army, and Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps, and their vans, were sent to the protest site to prevent people from protesting.

Protesters, on the other hand, defied the order and directive, with several being arrested and held in a waiting Black Maria.
During a press conference earlier this week, state
Commissioner of Police Hakeem Odumosu stated that the state cannot afford to
have another #EndSARS protest.
