Nasimiyu Kibisu went to Waithaka Police Station about 07:30 pm to report that she had slain her two children, according to a police OB report obtained by K24 Digital.
Sydney Miheso, four years old, and Miracle Miheso, two years old, were found dead just on sofa of her home, she told authorities.
Authorities on the incident leapt into action and went to the crime scene, where the bodies of the two youngsters were discovered.
According to police, preliminary investigations are still on to determine why the mother killed her 2 kids.
Nasimiyu was then apprehended and is currently being held in police custody pending further investigation and arraignment.
Police informed K24 Digital that they were unable to process her for a court appearance on Monday because the event occurred at night and preliminary investigations had not yet been completed.
On Tuesday, she will appear in court, where investigators will ask for extra time to complete their investigations.
The two children's bodies were transferred to the City Morgue for an autopsy.
