The Delta Police Department has detained a housewife after she allegedly stabbed her husband to death with a kitchen knife following a domestic dispute.
According to The Punch, the incident occurred at the Ulogwe-Isumpe community in Utagbe-Unor, Delta State's Ndokwa West Local Government Area.
Oluchi, the deceased was said to have been stabbed with a kitchen knife by his wife.
According to an eye witness, a domestic disagreement ensued between the couple when the incident occurred on Wednesday.
According to sources, the deceased was transported to the local hospital by neighbors, where medics on duty verified his death.
According to one of our sources, the suspect was invited to the outpost in the nearby Ndemili hamlet.
DSP Bright Edafe, the acting Police Public Relations Officer of Delta State Police Command, confirmed the incident to journalists.
However, the PPRO was unable to provide any other information about the incident.
“It's confirmed, but I don't have any specifics at this time. The Kwale Division's Divisional Police Officer has already dispatched his officers to investigate the incident,” a police spokesman simply stated.
