The 56-year-old man had filed for divorce, claiming that his wife, a mother of four, had denied him sex for four years.
“My wife refuses to acknowledge my matrimonial rights. She also threatened to kill me in order to inherit my belongings.
“Without my permission, my wife took N420,000 from my tenant and never gave me an account of the money.
”She's also a fetish and a drunk,” he added.
“He is the fetish one,” Ibeawuchi, 45, said in response to the allegations. He brings various prophets to the house, as well as burying various objects on the ground.”
She also claimed that she renovated the house with the N420,000 she received from one of their tenants.
She never threatened to kill her husband and pleaded with the court not to grant her husband's divorce request because she loved him, according to Ibeawuchi.
After several interventions, Justice Adeniyi Koledoye delivered judgment, saying that since Frank insists on divorce, the court has no choice but to grant his wish.
“Today, the court declares Mr Eric and Ibeawuchi Frank's marriage to be dissolved.
“From now on, you are no longer husband and wife.
“Each of you should go your separate ways without being bothered. “The court wishes you both the best of luck in your future endeavors,” Koledoye stated.
The judge ordered the man to pay N150,000 as a severance fee to his wife, as well as N200,000 to help her find new housing, before giving Frank custody of the children.
