Pastor Bolanle Ibrahim, the pastor in charge of King of Kings Parish of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) in Maidan village of Ikosi, Ketu Local Government Area of Lagos State, was assassinated by unidentified gunmen.
The intruders who infiltrated the church premises during a child dedication event shot the deceased, according to the DAILY POST.
It was also learned that the attackers who broke into the church in search of the deceased brought a still photograph of the victim with them.

When approached by a DAILY POST correspondent, state Police Public Relations Officer CSP Muyiwa Adejobi was unable to take his calls.
Mrs. Justina Alebiosu, the victim's aunt, verified the development to New Telegraph. Mrs Justina could not be reached by DAILY POST.
“Before they killed him, they showed him his image to identify if he was the right guy they came for,” she claims. His passing was untimely, and we have lost a gentleman. We were Muslims when we were born, but we converted to Christianity. My guess is that my brother did some sort of deal with someone.”
