The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, Pastor E.A Adeboye, has revealed the answer to his prayers regarding the COVID-19 epidemic.
Speaking at the RCCG's annual Holy Ghost Congress, the priest said God had informed him that the virus would not kill Nigerians, only those who were destined to die.
Those who prophesied that the virus would wipe off Africans were disappointed by God, according to Adeboye.
"I mentioned it on January 1 of this year; I was telling them the administration has done a fantastic job fighting the corona virus," he remarked. We're up against an unseen foe. Don't be reckless, but don't be afraid, I continued, since there is a God who can see the unseen.
"When the Corona virus first appeared, I called out to God, and Daddy responded. "Son, I have heard your cry," God said especially to me. Only those who have reached the end of their lives will perish."
"I heard that over 2000 individuals die each year as a result of a snake bite. That means that on average, 4000 people die from snake bites every two years. The Corona virus has been circulating for about two years.
"By God's mercy, it hasn't murdered 4000 people yet." Don't be afraid, take my word for it. You won't die until it's your time.
"However, when pride sets in and you believe you can handle things on your own, God will abandon you." God resists the haughty but provides grace to the humble. – James 4:6; John 15:5; God created you for his pleasure, so he doesn't appreciate the concept of you striving to be self-sufficient.
This comes amid concerns about the Omicron strain of the disease, which is thought to be more hazardous due to an exceptionally high number of mutations that could make the virus more transmissible and resistant to existing vaccines.
Despite what officials described as a slew of uncertainty, the World Health Organization has labeled Omicron a "variant of concern" and warned that the global hazards it poses are "extremely high."
