Funke Akindele, a Nollywood actress, has stated that her ex-husband, Kehinde Oloyede Almaroof, abused and blackmailed her.
According to an Instagram post by Cutie Julls, the actress recalled her ordeal in a scene of her self-produced hit comedy series, Jeniffer's Diary, which aired on Scene One TV on July 18, 2021.
The actress revealed how her ex-husband verbally assaulted her and threatened to go public if she left the marriage, in an attempt to damage her name and brand.
According to the actress, her ex-husband ended their marriage over the phone while she was on the set of a film.
This had a mental and physical impact on her, and she lost many endorsement opportunities as a result.
However, she expressed gratitude to God for blessing her with a better man, JJC Skillz, and twin boys.
