Lara's Faith (Episode 2)

Lara returned to her mirror, sprinkled some perfume on her exposing nightgown, and remarked, "Hmm yummy!" Prior to entering Tony's room,

"Plan number four is on target!" she exclaimed, laughing. After carefully opening the door and peering inside, she entered into the room. Tony was sleeping on a king-sized bed with his covers half-drawn to his waist and his chest uncovered, exposing his 'Six-packs' features. She craved to be touched, but it wasn't on her list of priorities.

She came here to discuss their marriage, which she considers to be very important to her. As she crawled next to him, he was breathing softly and steadily. Is it true that this man has the ability to sleep? She pondered the situation. As she got closer to him, how would she wake him up? She felt as if she were a rat trying to ring a cat's bell. She gently placed her hand on his arm and...

Tony's eyes widened and he wore a scowl on his face. “I apologize for bothering you...” Lara started speaking, her voice shaking.

“Could you tell me what you're looking for?” he grumbled

Lara's mouth moved, but she didn't say anything.

He yells, "D—n it!" He stood up and took a seat.

“Can't I go back to sleep?” says the narrator. You can't seem to grasp the fact that I need to sleep? This uneducated girl is a formidable opponent! Is sex a prerequisite?” He grew upset and screamed at her.

“No! I had been!! It had only been...” Frightened, Lara drew away from him.

"Get out of my sight!" he shouted at her.

Lara bolted from the room, afraid and outraged, and collapsed sobbing on her bed. What would she do if she found herself in this situation? Wasn't it true that she'd done everything she could? She wasn't interested in the marriage in the first place, but she felt compelled to do it for her mother. He labeled her as illiterate! She started crying all over again.

She was adamant about proving to him that even illiterates may go nuts! She wiped her tears away and longed for a good night's sleep.

:::::***

Her room was bathed in natural light. She glanced at the clock on the wall, which read 7:30 a.m. She was spread out on her bed. Because she was so preoccupied with her plans, there would be no more cooking until further notice.

“Lara!” Tony slammed the door in her face and walked away.

Devil! As she drew the blanket over her face, she hissed.

“Lara!!” Tony thudded again, louder this time.

Isn't it true that you're starving? She snarled yet again.

“Lara?” As he entered the room, Tony said.

She did not stir and stayed motionless in her bed.

He screamed loudly, "Lara!"

“Uhm? “What exactly is it?” you might wonder. She murmured, as if she had only recently awoken. He made a motion toward the clock on the wall. Before returning her eyes to his face, she was captivated to his hand.

“Ehen? With a grimace on her face, she responded, "So?" Tony felt impelled to press his lips against hers.

“Are you some kind of knucklehead?” Aren't you aware that I'm running late for work? “Could you tell me where I may get my breakfast?” His voice had an unpleasant tone to it.

“Illiterates are unable to prepare meals!” As she lay back in her bed, she chuckled.

As he peered at her, David's eyes were bloodshot. He grabbed her from her bed and flung her to the cold, hard floor. Lara yelled anguishfully and rose to confront him.

“Could you tell me where I may get my breakfast?” he screamed

“I'm fed up with Tony! Did you pay attention to what I said? This is the last time I'm going to cook here! Get a woman with a master's degree to cook for you!” She screamed at him as she became agitated.

He dashed towards her, but she remained immobile and immovable.

He drew his face close to hers after turning away from her.

"If you don't cook in this house, you should expect to go back to your parents!" he threatened her.

“Wonder never ceases!” hehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehe She sneered as she clapped her hands.

"This is an opportunity I've been waiting for," she chuckled.

“Really?” He had a grimace on his face.

“Of course!” says Lara. Keep an eye on me to check if I'm not going to depart! “Do you believe you're the world's only man?” she stated

Lara flung open her closet door and began stuffing clothes into a bag. She started singing loudly.

"I'm coming home, I'm coming home, let the world know..."

Tony stood there for a few moments before leaving the room, studying her. He laughed as he walked to his car.

This woman is completely nuts! He thought for a while. He had to step in to stop her from leaving, and he quickly realized he had a soft spot for her.

“Way to go, my oga!” Adamu, the gateman, greeted him as he drove away.

As he neared Adamu, he beckoned to him, who grinned.

“Please don't let Lara out of the house, Adamu.”

Check to see that the gate is properly secured. Gerrit?”

“Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes,

At the very least, he'd make sure she didn't go! Tony pondered quietly as he drove away.
